CAROLYN also personally understands the importance and outcome potentials of a FAPE. As a single parent, CAROLYN simultaneously attended college and raised three children, two of whom having special needs. One child was identified in Middle School as having a non-verbal learning disability, and with a FAPE championed by CAROLYN, she went on to attend and graduate from Emerson College. One child, when in High School was seeming to have some ‘behavioral problems’, was soon identified as being a visual learner and today, again the result of a FAPE championed by CAROLYN, she teaches art in a local community and is a recognized poet.
